"About Effing Time" is what George, Adrian and Andrew hope their audience say at least once each episode.
The three hosts knew each other virtually, but after meeting in person at Watches and Wonders 2022 and filming an impromptu YouTube video together, there was an instant camaraderie that has led to a follow up podcast.
The trio come from different backgrounds but have found common ground in their unending interest in and passion for watches. As well as taking the piss out of each other.
Adrian Barker
Adrian Barker is a content creator and entrepreneur, who founded Bark & Jack.
It all started when Adrian was frustrated with the quality and tone of watch content on YouTube.
The mission was to create content that connected with 'normal everyday people’ and break the layer of pretentiousness that typically covered the watch scene and content that was honest and not sponsored by watch brands.
Four years later and after over 35 million views on YouTube, Bark & Jack is now one of the largest watch blogs in Europe and a successful watch accessories brand.
George Bamford
George Bamford has made his name as founder of Bamford Watch Department and Bamford London, brands that have become the global market leaders in contemporary watch customisation.
George was at a dinner party with some friends, looked around the table, and realised that everyone there was wearing exactly the same watch as him. This was the beginning of a sharp realisation that in our mass-market world, luxury is no longer true luxury, and this meant making luxury personal again.
George is reinventing luxury, keeping the tradition while looking towards tomorrow. Making history and signing official customisation agreements with major Swiss watch brands, Bamford Watch Department is the first customisation house venturing into a new market with one-of-a-kind watches offered with the full support of the brand.
Driven by a passion for engineering excellence and innovation and inspired by the demand of his clients to wear watches that are exclusive and individual, Bamford London proudly presents a fantastic range of watches and meticulously crafted, top class accessories that have been designed to re-define luxury as a truly personal statement.
Andrew McUtchen
Andrew McUtchen never intended to be a digital entrepreneur or a commentator on watches, but he now rather enjoys being both.
Time+Tide was one of many ventures in publishing that Andrew felt passionate about. However, it was the business that took hold and quickly took over his life.
Since it started in 2014, he unwittingly depressed a chronograph pusher, and time has been racing - along with the businesses' growth - ever since.
Time+Tide now publishes a minimum of three times a day on the site and on YouTube and has a team of fine individuals, all unreasonably addicted to watches, spread across Melbourne, New York City and Berlin. Time+Tide will, in 2022, publish a hard cover edition of its finest stories - reuniting Andrew with his ultimate dream of creating real, wonderful smelling books.
